The cabinet convened on Thursday for their initial meeting following President Donald Trump’s declaration of intent to impose significant tariffs on several key U.S. trade allies.

“Every single person at this table is performing exceptionally well,” Trump remarked during the session. “I must add, truly incredible. And the connections are – it’s as if they’re friends. The connections are exceptionally solid, genuinely good, genuinely solid. And these gatherings are highly beneficial.”

Musk, who participated in the gathering, spoke about the accomplishments of DOGE, the agency under his direction tasked with cutting down on governmental inefficiencies.

“Owing to [Trump’s] outstanding leadership, this remarkable cabinet, and the highly skilled DOGE team, I am thrilled to report that we project savings of $150 billion in fiscal year ’26 by curbing waste and fraud,” Musk stated during the meeting.

Sharp-eyed observers on social media noticed the notepad positioned before the Tesla executive, bearing the phrase “Top Secret” followed by double exclamation points. They swiftly turned to various online forums to ridicule the billionaire over his notes.

“He absolutely wrote that himself using that pen,” one commenter asserted.

“Double underlined, two exclamation marks. Utmost top secret,” remarked another user.

“The most classified information is always recorded with a ballpoint pen,” another contributed, adding a thumbs-up emoji, while a fourth suggested, “They put that there just to make him feel part of the group!”
