In a heated exchange on Fox News, former President Donald Trump sparred with host Howard Kurtz over controversial claims about Haitians allegedly eating pets in Springfield, Ohio. During the Sunday interview, Kurtz challenged Trump to admit that these claims had been widely discredited.

Kurtz asked pointedly, “But when you said, you know, it’s gone viral, they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats. But why not say now, well, look, that turned out not to be true?”
Trump responded, “I don’t know if it’s true or not true,” leading Kurtz to emphasize, “It’s been debunked by the officials.”

Trump retorted by questioning, “What about the goose? The geese? They’re all missing. It was one guy with two geese.”
He continued, “I have no idea. I said something. The big problem is that you can’t put 30,000 people into a 50,000-person town or city and expect this city to even survive or do well. What they’ve done to Springfield, Ohio, is very, very unfair. And I mean, there are a lot of stories.”
Kurtz held firm, stating, “Well, I think it’s been debunked by local officials.”
Trump countered, “I don’t think it’s been debunked at all. I think nobody talks about it except you.”
The exchange highlighted the ongoing debate over false immigration narratives promoted by Trump and his allies.
