In a frantic social media outburst Saturday, Donald Trump showed signs of a full-blown panic, lashing out at the escalating conversation around Jeffrey Epstein, rushing to the defense of his attorney general, Pam Bondi, and placing the blame for the scandal squarely on former President Barack Obama.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump pleaded with his MAGA followers to halt their attacks on Bondi, as the pressure continues to build regarding his team’s handling of the Epstein-related documents.
“They’re all targeting Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is performing her duties EXCELLENTLY!” Trump posted. “We are one Team, MAGA, and I am not pleased with what is unfolding.”
Trump’s tirade then spiraled, resurrecting old adversaries and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories. “We possess a FLAWLESS Administration, THE ENVY OF THE WORLD,” he asserted, blaming the criticism on “opportunistic individuals” agitated by the Epstein case—a man he oddly referred to as someone “who is immortal.”
Following this came his most shocking allegation. Trump stated directly that the Epstein documents were fraudulent and accused Barack Obama of orchestrating their creation.
“Why are we amplifying Files created by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Failures and Crooks of the Biden Administration,” he posted, grouping them with what he termed the “Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and others?”
He added, “They fabricated the Epstein Files, just as they fabricated the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they deployed against me.”
Trump then accused his own base of being deceived. “Now my supposed ‘allies’ are falling right into their trap.”
He raised questions about the timing of the files’ release, wondering why they weren’t made public sooner if they were so detrimental. “Why did these Radical Left Fanatics not release the Epstein Files? If they contained ANYTHING that could have harmed the MAGA Movement, why wasn’t it used?”
Then, a direct appeal followed: “ALLOW PAM BONDI TO DO HER JOB — SHE IS EXCEPTIONAL!”
Trump concluded his rant with his typical refrains—baseless claims regarding the election and extravagant self-praise. “The 2020 Election was Manipulated and Stolen, and they aimed to do it again in 2024,” he wrote. “Let’s maintain [America’s] greatness, and not squander Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, a person nobody is interested in.”
The entire episode clearly indicates one thing: the pressure is mounting on Trump. And on the subject of Epstein, he urgently wants the public to shift its focus.
