On Sunday’s episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver took aim at President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees, describing them as “awful even by his low standards.” But his sharpest barbs were reserved for former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Trump’s choice for attorney general.

Oliver quipped that Gaetz was voted in high school as “most likely to not be allowed within 500 feet of here.” The remark came alongside a discussion of Gaetz’s past controversies, including a federal investigation into a sex trafficking case involving a 17-year-old girl. Although the investigation ended without charges, it was widely publicized, and Gaetz remained under scrutiny from the House Ethics Committee until his recent resignation.

The show featured a montage of conservatives criticizing Gaetz, including former national security adviser John Bolton, who called his nomination “the worst Cabinet pick in American history.” Oliver agreed, warning viewers to expect “the worst blank in American history” to become the defining feature of the administration.

“It’s going to be the worst Easter egg roll in American history,” Oliver joked. “The Easter Bunny will be on fire, every egg will be filled with expired mayonnaise, and the kids who don’t win will be immediately put into foster care.”

Oliver also highlighted the shocked reaction of a Republican lawmaker who reportedly said, “Are you shittin’ me?” upon hearing of Gaetz’s selection. He concluded with a pointed remark: “My lawyers insist I cannot call Gaetz ‘Jeffrey Epstein if he went to shittier beaches,’ so I won’t.”
